Perth

Buddy Up Australia Perth Chapter

As a trek leader, Megan Davidson will run hikes around the Perth region. Also on offer is yoga and bike rides and special events that are always on offer in Perth like the MSWA Stair challenges, fun runs etc.

Perth have been involved in various volunteering opportunities including planting a mature orchard through Kinross College, making meals for the homeless and supporting the Police v Fire & Rescue footy match.

Hobart

Buddy Up Australia Hobart Chapter

Kris Amiet is a machine and if he isn’t then we want to know what he eats!

He runs PT sessions twice a week for members to cater for all fitness levels. He takes people on hikes throughout the amazing Tasmanian wilderness and has offered many events including surfing lessons and sea kayaking.

Kris has organised a tyre flip challenge to raise funds for Matt Williams campaign for a brain cancer cure. He’s also flipped a few onions for the sausage sizzle (as per Bunnings SOP).

Canberra

Buddy Up Australia Canberra Chapter

Tony Mitchell and Julie Hackett run the show in Canberra with the help of Shane Weller. They are just getting things up and running there with a few walks around lake Burley Griffin. They are keen to hear what events you’d like to see in the vicinity.

Cairns

Brett Neale has recently completed 30 years in the Australian Army and is keen to get some fitness activities off the ground. With the help of his wife Sharon, he will be offering Pilates, and fitness sessions. He also has a keen interest in theatre and will introduce this to members in the future.

Shoalhaven

Buddy Up Australia Shoalhaven Chapter

Amy Vickers is currently serving in the Royal Australian Navy at Jervis Bay. She has worked with Trojan’s Treks and is passionate about supporting members to get back in to the well zone of mental and physical health. She is just starting up her chapter so let her know what events you are keen on. She has organised walks to get things going.

It’s fantastic if you’re qualified to run fitness sessions. If you’re not, that’s ok because you can tap in to the smorgasbord of local offerings e.g. Frontline Yoga, fitness clubs, Pilates studios etc.
